Prelude to Serious Preparations
I remember when I began serious preparations to take control of my financial situation. I read about many wealthy individuals. I began cutting my expenses. I got on a budget began to save a little money. I became more and more familiar with all of the basic lessons. Eventually the full importance and power of the truth behind these small lessons began to sink in. At some point after struggling to bend my mind around the meaning of these things, after thinking about it and all the reasons and philosophy about it, I reached the point where I realized these were not just lessons to be learned. 
These were rules that explain, in fact, how things work with money. These basic lessons, when taken to heart, show you where the real changes need to take place in your own situation. These include changes in your focus, your time management, and your attitude about money. I mention this now because, personally, this realization and acceptance became the source of my motivation and persistence. Knowing these lessons as truth in my heart allowed me to validate my path and have certainty to its outcome. It was the reason for my success as I made my own serious preparations.
