Make You Rich
Money will not make you rich it is how you manage your cash that makes you rich or poor. More dollars will not solve the problem, it will only highlight your existing cash management problems.
This goes to the idea that it is the small deals that make up the big deals. Many people believe they will fix their cash flow problems by starting a company. What really happens is they transfer their lack of ability into the company. Their personal financial situation now becomes the company's financial situation. The only way to improve the financial situation of the company is to increase the ability of the person (through learning).
The more aware you are over the thoughts and emotions over cash, the more control you have. Dollars are just thoughts and emotions. It takes an investment of time to learn how to manage your thoughts and emotions about cash. For example…...
Look for the Lessons
- A person learns about cash flow management, investing, and business while working a 7 /hr job. He determines a plan. He manages his time. He remains focused on his plan and becomes financially independent in 4 years.
- A guy makes $300k a year, and has $300k a year go out in expenses. He argues that he does not need to learn about cash flow and investing. He does not understand that money will not make you rich, until one day he is unable to go back to work. With his constant, long term expense obligations and no real assets, he very quickly finds that he is poor.
- A man wins the lottery, and just a few years later he is poor again. A cash flow management problem existed BEFORE he won the lottery. The problem was obviously never fixed.
- A guy hates learning so much that he works 40 years for an earned income. He lives in a budget, and carefully saves for an affordable retirement instead of learning cash flow management and investing.
These four examples above embody the key lessons of this website. When fully understood and applied together in real life, you will become wealthy after some persistence.
